Stephen Slusarski

On June 22, 2023, Stephen Slusarski died at home of mantle cell lymphoma, cared for by three women who loved him dearly-daughter Lenore, granddaughter Elisa, and wife Nancy LaPaglia. He was 77. He would want to be known as a good carpenter, a furniture maker and house builder, and a man who loved and cared for his family.

Besides his wife and friends, he leaves children Jamison (Roger dec.), Christopher (Kirsten div.), David (Karen dec.) and Lenore (Robert Neal), as well as nine grandchildren: Tawasi, Michael, Matt (Courtney), Patricia (Hilder), Jacqueline (Brett), Lena, Lucas, Elisa and Mateo, and two great-grandchildren: Amara and Leonel.

If you wish to donate in his name, Stephen supported those who fed the hungry, such as food banks in Portland and Chicago, and those who worked to preserve the natural beauty of this world.

There will be a memorial service on Friday, August 4th, from 1-4pm, at Homan’s Funeral Service, 2610 SE Hawthrone, Portland OR.
