Nathan Bernard Goldfoot was born on February 25, 1934 in Portland, Oregon to Helen and Charles Goldfoot. Nate lived most of his life in Portland. He attended Benson High School but graduated from Grand Coulee High School in Grand Coulee, Washington. Nate lived in Omak, Washington before being drafted into the Army in 1956. He moved back to Portland in 1966 and had a 30 year career as a Ford mechanic.
Nate met the love of his life, Lorraine Slifman in 1966. They were married in 1967. Together they had three children, Tami (Bob) Jensen, Charlie Goldfoot, and Wendy (Thomas) Hardy. They also have 4 grandchildren, Andrew, Kaiti, Sarah and Ben and four great grandchildren, Trey, Tristan, Ryder and Grayson.
Nate enjoyed camping, fishing and convertibles but most of all Nate loved being with his wife and spending time together with their family. Nothing gave him more pleasure than his family.
After seven years of dialysis treatment, Nate made a courageous decision to end his treatment and spend his final days in the loving arms of his family and friends. He passed away peacefully in his home on April 26, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to your favorite charity in Nate’s name.
