Among others, Harold’s passions were astronomy, genealogy, history and nature (especially birds). He also very much enjoyed visiting State and National Parks. Harold was a lifelong learner and was always eager to share his knowledge with others. Harold very much loved his family, and our many family gatherings brought him great joy. He will be dearly missed but, is always and forever in our hearts and memories.
Harold’s family will hold a celebration of life service at his sister Diane’s home in Vancouver, WA at the end of August. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to: U of O Pine Mountain Observatory, pmo.uoregon.edu.
