Frank Michael (Mike) Rogers was born in Portland Oregon on August 18, 1948 to Frank A. Rogers and Alta Duggan. He grew up in Milwaukie, Oregon and graduated from Milwaukie High School. He attended Oregon Statute University where he studied engineering. He joined the U.S Marines where he was trained as a radio communications specialist at the Marine Corps Base at Twentynine Palms California and served 6 years as a Marine reserve in Portland, Oregon. He married his wife Alene in 1971. Mike and Alene bought a home in Tigard, OR where they raised their two sons Courtney and Jeremy and which is still the family home.
Mike had a long career as a software engineer for Tektronix and Xerox and did stints working in Japan and Georgia (U.S.). Mike enjoyed reading, computer programming, walking and spending time with his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and grandnephews. He was known as a practical joker who loved to make others smile and laugh.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Alta and his sisters Pat O’Leary and Erica Morgan.
He is survived by his wife Alene, his sons Courtney and Jeremy, grandchildren Hayden and Naomi and his niece Alisa Shiratori, who was like a daughter to Mike, and her family Seiji, Tak and Kai. He will be missed dearly.
