Evelyn Jean Ross was born on June 29, 1927 in Forest Grove, Or.
Her parents were Joseph John Zuccato Ross and Minnie Clara Nelson.
They moved to Portland Oregon when Evelyn was 8 years old. Evelyn attended Kenton Elementary School starting in the 4th grade. After grade school Evelyn attended Jefferson High School.
After graduation from Jefferson High School she worked at the bank in Kenton.
Evelyn married Luke Frank Baccelleri in 1953.
They had 3 children Peter( Deceased), Nick (Deceased), and Colette.
Evelyn worked at Fred Meyers for 41 years until she retired at the age of 81. She made many friends there and would always run into someone that she knew no matter where she traveled to. Evelyn loved being at home working in her garden, cooking, and entertaining friends and family. Evelyn also loved her little dog, Dunkin, who has been by her side for close to 10 years. Evelyn is survived by her cousins Anita Zuccato, Julia Waldron, Vivian Upward,Linda Hart and Marcia Roig.
Evelyn’s daughter Colette married in 1980 to Vince Taormina in Portland.
Evelyn’s daughter moved to Southern California and proceeded to bless Evelyn with 7 grandchildren, Desiree, Vincent, Joseph, Garrett, Jordan, Michael, and Anthony. Evelyn was also blessed with 2 great grandchildren, Madison Grace and Luke Cosmo, who are the children of her grandson Jordan and his wife Michelle. Evelyn moved to Newport Beach in 2018 to be closer to her family. She celebrated her 92nd birthday on June 29th with all of her family. Evelyn attended her granddaughter Desiree’s wedding to Casey Sheil on July 6, 2019, shortly after the wedding her health started to fail. She died peacefully on July 22, 2019 surrounded by her family at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, Ca.
We will all miss her very much and are very thankful to have had her in our lives for so many years. Evelyn will be greatly missed however she has left all our hearts filled with the same love, kindness and fun filled spirt she had in her heart her entire life.
