Charles “Chuck” Moffit III, 66, peacefully passed away Monday, February 4, 2019 while on vacation in Cancun, Mexico.
He served 13 years in the U.S. Army before finally resettling in Oregon. He was an accountant for the City of Portland until he retired in 2008. He was active with the Portland Bowling Association and was involved with his local union AFSCME since 1999. He had a passion for movies, bowling, trivia, politics and enjoyed a good debate. He loved to travel and spend time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Mariani-Moffit; daughters, Victoria, Alexandria, Julianna; and grandchildren, Benjamin, Bryleigh, Abigail, Dylan, Broughyn, Elijah and Emily.
A viewing will be available Noon – 4 p.m., Monday, Feb. 18, 2019. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, with a reception to follow. These events will take place at Holman’s Funeral Service, 2610 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd., Portland, OR 97214.
