Mrs. Nina Fay Walker-Kemp died peacefully surrounded by her children and those that loved her at home on July 11, 2017, in Portland, Oregon at the age of 73.
Nina is survived by Gary, her son David and his wife Jolene of Portland, OR, her daughter Mindy Kemp Koontz and her husband Mike and her only grandchild, Grant, of Gresham, OR.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph (Rudy) and Winnie Williamson-Walker, of Glendale, OR, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Nina was born on February 8, 1944 in Rock Creek, TN to Rudy and Winnie. Her family moved to Glendale, OR in the winter of 1948. She graduated from Glendale High School in 1962, and moved to Portland in 1962 to attend dental assisting school. She married Gary Kemp October 1, 1966. She worked as a dental assistant until her retirement in 2007.
Her greatest joys were raising her two children and being a grandmother to Grant. (the light of her life!)
A private burial is planned followed by a celebration of life.
