The world has lost a mighty force and tender heart in George Alexander Parsons, who died peacefully in his home on the night of November 22, 2017 with his wife and son at his side. Alex was born on April 4, 1972 in Georgetown, Washington, D.C. and spent his childhood in Falls Church, Virginia. In the 1990s, he moved out west, where he met his future wife Mary, and began his career in becoming a chef in Portland. While working in many well-known restaurants, he also studied architecture and developed a hobby in photography.
As a young father, Alex always had his son Louis on his shoulders, and his border collie Betty by his side. In his last years, Alex enjoyed trips to Mt. Hood, Cannon Beach and simple nights at home with his loved ones. He also kept a close bond with his family in California and Virginia.
Alex is survived by his wife Mary Dunford, son Louis Parsons, parents Doug and Harriet Parsons, brothers David and Ken Parsons, and his new border collie Rudy.
